What can we do for Mothers day 2021?

So here we are, last Mothers day saw us on the brink of the first national lockdown and emotions were all over the place. This year we find ourselves still within covid restrictions but with an ending hopefully insight.

This year Mothers day falls on the 14th March, one day after Olivia’s birthday actually! Straight after the schools go back but before large tourist attractions like Zoos and Farms are permitted to open and before pubs and restaurants can reopen and whilst we are still encouraged to stay at home as much as possible. So that may beg the question for some of you "What can we do for Mothers day?".

Now to be clear we are still in a state of lockdown on Mothers day so we are not encouraging travel. However our clients come from all over Hertfordshire and beyond and so we are sharing those attractions we know are open for recreation (permitted by guidelines) though you should of course look for one closest to you to avoid additional travel. The good news is that Botanical gardens and castle grounds are open in time for Mothers day. So you could pay a visit to somewhere like Knebworth Gardens and Dinosaur Trail with your little ones. They are also offering takeaway cream teas on Mothers Day too details here:

Other outdoor attractions open include Wimpole estate and Hatfield Forest. A little further afield but equally lovely is Ashridge Estate.

Food wise there are lots of local pubs offering click and collect roast dinners so give your local pub a call and see whats on offer. We can highly recommend the Kings Mead.

Or if an afternoon tea takes your fancy check out the amazing Serendipity who are now located in stanstead abbots (but deliver to local areas) their afternoon teas are to die for!

Can I See my Mum?

On the 14th we are still in step 1 of the lockdown roadmap which does permit recreation or exercise with one person not inside your bubble. So if you Mum is local you are allowed to go for a walk with them for example outside the house within the rules.

Lets talk gifts!

Olivias Mother actually runs her own artisan chocolate company and the chocolates are delicious and a real show stopper. So if your mum deserves some WOW in her day definately check them out here.

Flowers- Check out a range of local Herts florists here

Not forgetting our amazing photoshoot vouchers more details here

Year round voucher valid period for a 30 min Mummy & Me Photoshoot session and includes your fav print! No min spend. Great gift!! £99

Whatever you do for this mothers day I hope its a day filled with joy, one where you show yourself a bit of love and let us all hope its the very last lockdown mothers day we ever experience.
